The Telephone Helpline Service

The Telephone Helpline Service is often the first point of contact with Drugs Action and acts as a gateway to other services. The service provides information, advice and support to people affected by drug use.

The Helpline is also available to workers from other agencies who have a drug related enquiry.

The main features of the Helpline Service are:

  • Advice / Information and support on drugs and related issues
  • Follow up information available via post
  • Follow up one to one counselling available at the city base or through a variety of outreach locations
  • Ongoing support via telephone if required
  • Advice on / referral to other agencies as required.
