Aberdeen Recovery Community (ARC)

Aberdeen Recovery Community (ARC) is a community rehabilitation service for people already in drug treatment. People are often referred through their GP or the Aberdeen Substance Misuse Service. It is a partnership between ADA and Aberdeen Foyer.

ARC supports people who have already taken steps to change their drug use and make other positive changes in their lives. We work with people to identify their strengths, needs and goals to create an individual personal recovery plan to help people move away from drug dependency and treatment.

ARC works with people to achieve a range of goals, such as maintaining a healthier lifestyle, reaching personal potential and increasing motivation and hope for the future.

Members of ARC have their own Recovery Coach, who they meet with on a one-to-one basis, as well as opportunities to take part in recovery-based activity groups.

ARC also offers support from Employability Coaches who can guide people towards training, education or employment to ensure that aspirations, hopes and goals are turned into reality.

Referrals to the ARC service are usually made by speaking to your GP or CPN.
