Community Alcohol Services Aberdeenshire (CASA) is a specialist service for anyone in Aberdeenshire who is concerned about their own or someone else’s alcohol use. The aim of the service is to encourage safe levels of alcohol use and to help those who have developed a dependency to regain control over their alcohol use and move forward with their lives.

CASA provides:

  • In-depth assessment of the needs of each service user
  • Short-term support and advice to people who are drinking above safe limits
  • Longer term one-to-one support to help people overcome barriers to change, including addressing ‘root causes’ of drinking when required
  • Support from a CASA Buddy to help people move forward on their recovery journey
  • Joint working and referral to other services when appropriate
