We are now operating open access drop-in services in South and Central Aberdeenshire for anyone concerned about their own or a loved ones use of alcohol or drugs.
We have open access hubs operating in Stonehaven, Inverurie, Banchory & Huntly, and plan to add more locations as required. In addition we can provide support to outlying communities for people who are unable to travel to a hub.
From each hub we offer
An initial assessment of need carried out by an experienced member of the substance use team from Alcohol & Drugs Action.
Immediate advice and support to intervene early to reduce the hams associated with alcohol and drugs
Provision of the Take Home Naloxone scheme and other interventions to reduce drug related harms
Time limited packages of therapeutic support
Help to engage with other appropriate services and support
Lapse management and relapse prevention work
Follow up with service users who have disengaged with support
